Privacy Policy – DroneMapy Chrome Extension

Summary: DroneMapy does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens locally in your browser.
What the extension does
- Injects an overlay on mapy.com to display public drone restriction zone data
- Downloads public aviation datasets from official aviation-authority servers:

- Stores your preferences (layer toggles, opacity) in
chrome.storage.sync - Caches Swiss zone GeoJSON (~13 MB) and per-tile zone data in IndexedDB on your device
Italian data access (optional)
Italian airspace requires an openAIP API key that you provide. It is stored in chrome.storage.local (local to this device, not synced) and is sent only to api.core.openaip.net. Remove it at any time with the panel's "Clear" button. The key is never sent to the extension author or any third party.
What we do NOT collect
- No account with the extension author; the optional openAIP key goes only to openAIP (see above)
- No analytics or tracking
- No location history sent to any server
- No data sold to third parties
